Moving Regulations in Ireland
On importation of goods into Ireland from EU countries customs entry formalities must be completed by the importer or his/her agent. The appropriate customs entry is made by electronic data transfer of Single Administrative Document (SAD) declarations to Revenue’s Automated Entry Processing (AEP) system using the Direct Trader Input (DTI) facility. Importers may clear consignments at import and pay any charges due through an approved Deferred Payment account, money order, bank draft or bank guaranteed cheque to effect release of the goods. All needed documents required to clear the goods through customs i.e. Invoice, certificate of origin, import licence, etc. must be available on request.
